I finished my season last Sunday, and thought I had what I felt was a quiet-ish spell in the last third of the season, the last couple of games went well, and I am content with a batting average of 30.18 plus 36 wickets at 16.19 in 19 games. I hit 10 sixes this year, which is a personal best, the last of which on Sunday went clean out of our ground despite being an absolutely horrible shot!

In troubled times, being philosophical helps a great deal, it helps you to remain sane and not do any further damage.

Fine fine effort Clobs. Do you bowl spin?
I am having net practice sessions these days with a lot of domestic teams as the national T20 cup is going on in Karachi. Have had 5 sessions of over 2 hours with the likes of Razzaq, Younus, GUl, Afridi, Akmals, Hafeez, Misbah and a lot others. Having connections help I say. And I can proudly say that I made AJmal talk to me over a delivery that I bowled to one of Faisalabad Wolves' batsman. It was a doosra that I so often bowl but it turned bigger than it usually does and Ajmal was bowling in tandem and asked me how did you grip that lad and then we discussed our grips and release. Was a good moment.

I bowl left arm medium pace swing Zuhair - but certainly not well enough to impress any pros that might happen to see me.
No thoughts of retiring just yet Sledge, but I would be delighted to have my bowling duties scaled back a tad from now on! We play a variety of games Spinny - the majority are timed games with the draw as an option, but we play a number of overs games too, mostly 40 overs.
