Indeed! Sri Lanka has improved a lot too. They are doing well overseas too like fighting the Kiwi's in their own backyard and reaching the finals of the WC.

Australia's 5-0 series demolition of England shows that they are the best and most improved side in the world. Like the West Indies sides of the 70's and 80's they remember everytime a team beats them and use that as motivation to drive every team into the ground whenever they get the chance.

Pakistan proved, once again, that progress on the field is somehow being squandered by off-field decisions and politics.
My vote goes to Australia. They just get better and better.

Pakistan have really improved a lot in 2005, after losing to Australia, they have won almost every other game. The way they played against England was excellent.
South Africa also had a great year. After losing 11 of their last 12 ODI's in 2004 ( their one victory was agaist Bangladesh), they only lost 3 ODi's in 2005. |

The Pakistan team has improved a lot. Inzamam and Woolmer have made all the difference. Shoaib Akhtar's attitude after his return was also a great thing to see.

I hereby award member ANIL KUMBLE the award for longest sentence ever seen at CW. Fact: Insertion of capitals, full stops and other grammatical aids will see your thread get better responses. If you have the time to write that much, you clearly have the time to punctuate it properly.

I think Pakistan have really improved after a bad campaign against the Australians at the start of 2005 but since that they are hardly losing England you could say have had ups and downs the Ashes was there highpoint of 2005 but the tests and ODIs played against Pakistan was there low point of the year.New Zealand have been in some good form lately after being smacked by the Proteas in the ODI series they fought in a hard 2-1 defeat against Australia and were back on track after defeating the lankans 3-1.South africa have had a good year up until now they havent performed as how they'd liked to and India have been there usual always making contests against any team.Sri Lanka have lost a bit of form Jayasuriya's injury being the crucial point for Sri Lanka but when you talk on most improved Pakistan get my vote. there i fixed it better now Edited by ANIL KUMBLE |
