The Super 8's are now here, with England, Australia, New Zealand and India all on today, so far in the nz vs ind match, nz have hit 190 off their 20 overs, so i spose this is the super 8 discussion here

There are more games.

Fantastic bowling from Vettori today. He was the main difference between a win and loss and especially against the side that is the best against spinners!!

Against a team like India, i will say this is a silly comment.
How on earth did India lost that match.
Superb start from the opener.
Great knock from my buddy Sehwag.

great match. poor performance by indian bowler in the end, bowling too many short delieveries. vettori was outstanding. after the fall of 2nd wicket indian batsman didnot perform well.

Dhoni run out was the biggest downfall of inida defeat. Half of india wickets was very very very soft.

Anyway, great to see Gambhier hit a cracking fifty, maybe it's because of my bad talking i give him.

England comprehesively beaten by South Africa with the Pietersen run out the big talking point. I would find it very hard to believe that Pollock took him out deliberately but you do have to ask where on earth he was going - the direction he moved in was as though he wanted to intercept the throw.

Matt Prior at the top of the innings just isn't working. He wasted a lot of strike tonight and as he has done an awful lot recently, when he tried to accelerate he promptly got out, and so far I am afraid Luke Wright has looked pretty much what he is - a moderate county cricketer who has got lucky a couple of times.

Pietersen at 3 for me has never worked either, at 3 he goes in under a hell opf a lot f pressure, but when batting at 4 or 5 he can inject some urgency under less pressure and really motivate englands inninmgs

Great game South-Africa v England at 1 point it looked like England were going away victorious. It's a pitty what happend 2 Pieterson but Pollock ain't the tipe of guy that will do it on purpose. Good luck in future games England you are my 3rd favorite team.

Guys you all got it wrong. England bowled beautifully and should of won the match. Absolute professional rubbish fielding at it's very best. Boucher dropped 2 times in 2 balls and Paul Collingwood didn't made up with the bat for the priceless miss chance of Morkel.
Balls going in the air like fireworks and england fielding was like school girls playing a game of rounda.
Is this the way they fielded against india?
Can Mascarenashe only make runs against india, why the hell did Snape batted ahead of him.

I don't think that Pollock did that intentionally. He was going to intercept the catch to make sure there weren't any overthrows.
Just a mix up. You could see from his reaction.

I though so too but the pitch belongs to the batsman and also it was stupid running from Kp too.

England's decision-making throughout the game, and even before was bizarre, to say the least.

Playing two spinners and bowling second, and then only giving Snape one over and turning in a simply woeful fielding display, followed by sending Snape in ahead of Mascarenhas.

I suppose, unlike the rugby, at least we scored some runs and took some wickets.

Now England have to beat New Zealand to stay in the competition, pretty much. Expect more of the same.

Don't think England can make it through with one victory. I think they have to win the other two matches because Sa and NZ are off the mark.

I would go with Maddy and Shah opening for England, both have good temperaments and won't panic after a couple of dot balls, then KP and Colly with Flintoff, Prior, Wright and Dimi in the next positions giving them plenty hitting power in the lower middle order.

Prior is really struggling at the top and it's causing england simply because england can't get a good start. Early wickets and below par run rate for the powerplays.

I think it's all academic now. Two crushing losses - people like Wright must have zero confidence, and what Dimi must think to having Snape going in ahead of him, god only knows.

Can't see England coming back now - I can't remember seeing a fielding performance as bad as that.

Yeah, the indian players are saying, "people think our fielding is bad, atleast we didn't pull of an England professional rubbish girl fielding".

Please, clobber for all the English fans sake, please FAX or Email those important advice to the ECB and do it very quickly too.

You make a good point BFM. All through our radio commentary, people were emailing in saying 'Why is Anderson playing' and 'Why don't we have Wright coming in down the order' etc.

Our response was always - "good question - we don't have the answer, nor unfortunately do we have a direct line to Peter Moores."

Who, incidentally was sitting in the stands for most of the game, while his opposite number was with his players on the bench.

Just hope they improve their fielding big time.

I miss the game tomorrow afternoon because of Biology.
I also miss England's match on Tuesday morning due to Sociology. I may be coming down with a mysterious illness on Tuesday morning.
