Presumably it's not allowed as it's essentially two attempts to play the ball so you might be out hit ball twice. We'll have to wait for Merv's verdict on that one.

 Haha that would be funny if you bowled underarm to stop getting a six, and they go and smack the flippin' thing all the way anyway!
