I haven't seen Brett Lee hit a six for a while but when he does they really go far.

It was not Steve Waugh!! It was Paul Reiffel.

Mark Waugh's six over Vettori is the highest i ever saw. Razzaq hit one on Balaji in Karachi when Paksitan lost by 5 runs chasing 350. Thse 2 for me are the highest ever i have seen.

i think that it's probably Gayle although Mccullum and Boucher can hit it out of the park on regular occasions

In the 1950s when Surrey were invincible,I arrived at Bradford Park Avenue ground just before lunch, and as I was approaching the turnstiles I heard a huge cheer inside the ground,I instinctively looked up and saw the ball sailing over me and landing on the roof of a new Vauxaul victor car, leaving a big dent,..it turned out to be a six hit by Freddie Trueman,I dont know how far it had gone, but I don't think I have ever seen a bigger hit.
Must get a drink,I'm drier than a pommies bath towel.
Australians all let us rejoice, for we are 1-2-3.

Surrey weren't invincible in the 50's , though they won more county championships than anyone else. Yorkshire won their fair share of titles in that period too.
Surrey would be penalised today - the pitches they "prepared" (loose term that)  were tailormade for Laker and Locke and they won practically every match at the Oval.

Hit 'em as high and as long as you like ........ once they pass the boundary they stop counting.
When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat.

I remember in 2005 when the Windies took on the Aussies in Brisbane and Powell was bowling to Lee and then Bang, a pull shot right out of the Gabba. It was a mighty blow and not to mention, a few months earlier, he did the same to Harmison I think.

Why isn't Morne Mokel mentioned in this thread? He has 123 metres now, I am yet to see anything bigger than that.

Although Adrew Symonds hits an evil six, as in a hard-hitted six.

Mate the reason what ever his name is isn't on there is because he is a one hit wonder!  andrew symonds or adam gilchrist would have to be a couple of the biggest hitters

I think Gayle is recorded for the highest six.  JOF, know one really knew about Albie Morkel at that time when this thread was active.  Well, some knew but he was unseen of really.
