Considering the interest in cricket these days and the amount of people that are quite passionate, i find it amazing the amount of people that we get on here.

Its very rare that more than 5 members people are on here at once.

I know that cricketworld.com in general is very popular

so why dont we have more active members?

prehaps people dont know about this forum...

any ideas

*ment to be in forum comments*

sorry

because u have to many poeple who don't play cricket or even know where games are played or who is playing who talking about cricket,u have poeple who are supporting teams because the team is winning and not even supporting the team where they are living or where they are from and while u can't tell poeple who to support u will never see an english man or an australian supporting any other team other than thier own and i will go for die hard fan win or lose, but u will see a post coming from a WI location not supporting WI or NZ location no supporting NZ and PAK doing the same so in my view u put all that together u wont find alot of poeple online very often,i am one person who support my team win or lose all the way.

and looks like you are getting tired telling your friends bondy. Wink Or you just couldn't find anybody in NZ to tell because of the population problem. Finding another soul must a big problem.

I agree with Pietersen Fan, the forum is not as it used to be. Maybe its only been a day or two since I returned but I think the activity has reduced a bit. Lets blame it on excess T20.

Sledger barely posts anymore I reckon that's a bit of a bummer, same with Clobber and JP who only post here and there. It's basically just me, Zuhair, Sam, Malhotra Raj, NZ_fast doing most of the posting, while Blade and Mystery come on most days.

Yeah,Sledge used to be one of the most active, and humourous, posters.(check his post count.)
JP never really posted much when I started either, except in his sim.
And What about Spin in that list of 'comes on most days.'?

Possible the funniest thing about people saying who is on consistantly is that they inveriably miss someone!

I do it all the time matey! We have enough regular contributors I guess, but a few more would do no harm. Nearly all posts are in the current matches or games areas... we don't have any general discussion anymore which sucks.

You forgot me milks. But even I am not as regular as I used to be. The forum has indeed become a dull place. I've been here since 2006 and over the last five-six months I have always felt that this is not the CW of old.

Yeah, traffic here isn't as high as it was when I joined!  Blame people like Dravid Fan who felt the need to go away.

Yeah,we need a few more, but it's certainly livening up from a little while ago when we only had about 5 or so regular posters as Dips was doing things(exams I think.) and Spin wasn't on very often.(That was just a little while before you came along I think!)

Clapo was a very good poster!  Daisy seems to have given up on Cricket now that Lara is gone, that really took a toll on her.      Bondy and Samache were good too.  Kerm as well and TCA use to keep things alive.

Your progress has been outstanding matey. Your frequency is really good. when I first had an interaction with an Aussie on tis forum - it wasn't a pleasant one. But things have changed since you and bladey have come.

A lot of Australian cricket supporters are 'yobbos' or 'bogans' (basically white trash - low class people). That's not me at all, I'm a 2nd generation Australian so perhaps I'm different. I think you'd like Australian people Zuhair.

Aussies are competitive and I have no problem with that - they tend to thrash the opposition badly with some solid Sledging - I've seen a bit in the press hammering the West Indies real badly.

I think Australians know their Cricket pretty well and I respect that!

I find I generally disagree with most Aussies I talk too about cricket,so I don't think I'm an average Aussie citizen!

Well I've got to say things are really getting dull around here. So much so I’ve taken a look around the net today and there are cricket sites with shed loads of traffic, but as usual this forum is dead in the water. Shame really as I like this site, but no one posts. The main difference with this site as opposed to others is that the other five sites I visited today all have an off topic.
Warwickshire County Cricket, Edgbaston Birmingham England. County Champions 2012

But what is the point if is is the off -topic post that attracts more users flipper? Yes, the forum is dull but it has been so for many a months now. Maybe an improvement in the website or the commentary section would lead to more traffic here too.

CW use to be very lively at times in the past, a lot of posters have gone away, maybe due to commitment, I don't know.

Still got some old warriors around!
