    Posted: 22 December 2006 at 12:47pm

You too, can enjoy the benefits of a hand-made, custom built, made-to-measure bat for the new season.

One lucky winner of our Millichamp and Hall competition will win the chance to visit the workshops where the bats are made, and will have a bat made to measure in front of them and will receive a key fob and a pen as a memento.

To be in with a chance of winning this unique prize, simply email us the answer to this question:

Which county team plays its home games at Taunton?

Email your answer to competitions@cricketworld.com or PM me with your answer.

The closing date for entries will be Friday, January 19th, the draw on the 20th, and the judge's decision is final. As part of the prize will be an invite to go to Taunton and have the bat made in front of you, this competition is only open to residents of the U.K.

More about Millichamp & Hall

Using traditional methods our craftsmen ensure they produce the best bats available today. The English willow we use is sourced from farms dedicated to growing willow for bat making. It is renewably harvested and collected, dried and treated by specialist suppliers in Essex. Our master craftsmen select only the finest quality willow clefts.

Millichamp & Hall aim to produce the best performing, most stylish bats available on the market. Each and every bat is made with pride and attention to detail using traditional tools and techniques that have been passed down through generations. Our bat-makers treat every bat as if it were their own. Every bat that leaves the workshop is guaranteed for a year.

In line with our stylish bats, our complimentary soft goods, accessories and services are first class. For the ideal present we offer gift vouchers and a unique gift experience that entitles the recipient to a day in our workshop in Taunton. Here, under the guidance of our master bat makers, they will select their own wood and watch their blade being crafted.

Millichamp and Hall specialise in cricket bats, with over a decades experience we deem ourselves experts, we cannot stress enough the importance of choosing the right bat to suit your style of play and the difference a good blade can make to your game. No, but as part of the prize is an invite down to Taunton, you might want to be accompanied by an adult.

I'm pretty sure you get the bat you want, i.e, custom made to your own specifications.

My comment (without being cocky) was quite funny. You get loads of amzing things in this competition, a trip to Somerset and a great new bat but it also says you can get a free pen which is nowhere near as good as the other two things. That is the joke, dont find it funny, I dont give a toss, if you do then so be it.

If it is the gift package I am thinking of you start by choosing your own willow cleft then watch then make it into your bat to your own preferred specification
