Welcome to the 2007 WCCC thread. Yes a bad start for the pears as we look well on our way to a defeat at the hands of Durham. Despite this there is hope. 97 for Phil Jacques and wickets for Doug Bollinger lets hope the Aussies are this good all season. Batty has been amazing with many wickets and Solanki has got a half century. It will be very hard without Zaheer but lets hope the boys can stay in division 1 and challenge some of the big teams! Come on Worcester!

Yer cmon wccc. The team looks god for this year and hopefully the aussies will be with us most of the year.  The bowling looks great and the batting improved against lancashire so fingers crossed for a good season!

i was at the leics game today. bowlers did well, with Ali looking the most threatening.  Shame about the batting tho. Davies looked quite good and so did smith untill he got to a dolly catch at point. we need to pick the batting up to be in with a chance of much this year

yer its a shame because we started so well with the 3 early wickets but its been all downhill from there. the bowling attack looked weak, just have to hope the batting hols out for a draw.

Went to the Notts game today. WE should have posted 260-70 but batting collapsed after a great ton by Phil Jaques. No other resistance apart for legendary Graeme Hick. Yes, again our bowling let us down. We looked very weak without Bollinger nad Malik and Sillence were awful. Come on Worcester, you can do better!

An 8-fer by Kabir Ali and Lancs skittled for 161 - a lot of work today to prevent your lads getting a big 1st innings lead.

    Murali might have some impact......Wink

If things run to form Clobs , they'll have plenty of fixtures that they'll be able to blame.

Worcestershire are absololute rubbish at the moment! The only player who this is not aimed at is Graeme Hick. He hits another century to no prevail against Sussex. If only someone else could offer some support. I went to the Sussex game and Worcs were 400 behind in the second innings. Second ball of the day Jacques plays acrooss the line LBW. Poor. There was some hope though as we went only 2000 behind with Hick and Batty batting well but that soon came to an end. The bowling is weak too after Doug Bollingers knock there were crys of Heathrow from the New road end. We have had to call on Scottish seamer Nel and Lancastrian Hogg to change our fortunes. Come on Worcs this is not good enough!
At the time of writing Worcs are getting hammered by Durham in the fpt!
Come on!Cry
