HI, Folks,

I decided to create this to see who, knows, the best world XI. Post your world XI and then using a cricket sim, i will see who wins.

Depending on how many people choose to join, we may have either several groups of 4 or a straight knockout tournament, to finally answer the question we all want to know the answer to, who are the best players in the world.

Say the player, the country and your batting order, including who you want to bowl, maximum of 10 overs per bowler, and it is a 50 over match.

So Far we have:

Me,
MP12,
Hawks Fan,
Spin Wizard,
Scuudz,
Notts Joe,
Freddie

how are you going to work it when you end up with most teams having at least 6 of the same players?

trust me, i have a good sim, but you aren't allowed to state exactly the same team as someone else. So the first to name team obviously has the chance to name the exact team that you want

so only the first person gets to choose their genuine World XI, everyone else has to compromise theirs

Basically, yes but presumeably not everybody has the same best XI

I'm also thinking of a rule of only 4 players per country, what are your thoughts on this?

You will be surprised at how many members will want the same players.  One player from each country might make things more interesting.

that's one option....or how about you do it in a kind of fantasy football style where you put players in different value bands and the team can not exceed a certain value

Right, I've come up with a plan,

You are only allowed 1 player from each of England, Austrailia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, India, South Africa and Pakistan,

And 2 players from each of West Indies, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

If someone has retired after the world cup like McGrath, they will NOT be allowed in your squad

Please note that bowler 4 comes out as "before". The forum is programmed to detect all of these text chattings I guess.

Just us 4 as a knockout?

To allow you to make minor adjustments if needed,
