Murali is far better than Jayasuriya and Bradman is the greatest batsman ever. Despite, Warne's brilliance Bradman can't be matched.

Sam i am better than Bradman but the only problem is no international cricketers have seen me play, if they did Bradman would of been number 2 and I number one.

Nope, I'm going to say there is no such thing or person as the greatest cricketer ever - as I don't recall Bradman taking wickets on a regular basis, keeping wicket or fielding to the level of some of the best ....... I do not see how he can be the greatest cricketer ever. Load of tosh.

I'm not too keen to say this person is the greatest cricketer but I'm my view, Sobers will always get my nod ahead of Bradman for that as he was a better bowler and Sobers could have field anywhere! It's simple, Bracken is a better ODI bowler than Lee, but overall, Lee is the better play as his batting and fielding is better!

yes exactly, good point.
However, I would rather have Bradman in my team despite Sobers being better in the field and with the ball, simply because he was so good with the bat. Does that mean he's the greatest cricketer ever? Controversial.

Nope, everyone has their own views! I think I might have included Bradman if I had to choose between the 2.

So why aren't "World cricketer of the year" awards always given to all-rounders then? It's not just about having more tricks up your sleeve, it's about doing what you do best. Bradman's batting contribution throughout his career was way better than most all-rounders' contributions. That makes him a better cricketer. You can't say that a specialist batsman isn't a cricketer because he can't bowl, can you?
Would you call Shane Watson a better cricketer than Matthew Hayden?

Exactly, excellent point Mojo. In fact Don Bradman, based upon statistics, is the greatest sportsman ever- he was and still is that far ahead of his counterparts.

Good one Graham!
