. It's a gut feeling, I have no intentions of seeing New Zealand win but there's a little part of me that wants to see them win. It's actually quite common, I know quite a few guys who secretly go for the kiwi's. No one will ever admit to it though.

.Yes that's also true. The New Zealand, Australia rivalry will always be there. But whether Australian supporters just want to thrash the kiwi's or want to see a good, close match. There is no denying that every Australian wants to beat them!

I'd wish NZ could get a team into the interstate competition in Australia, it would really help NZ's cause.

Good one Graham!

Most Aussies don't know that much about your domestic cricket over there. What's the quality like? I don't see why not, I suppose you would have to bring over 2 teams to make the competition and even 8. Another downside would be the long flight from Western Australia to New Zealand.

I'm not complaining...

Our domestic competition is mediocre, the strength is nowhere near as good as any county or australian state cricket. NZ cricket relies on the odd occasion of finding a 'superstar' (a.k.a - Shane Bond) that can haul our average players through a match.

The depth available is not plentiful so hence the reason why many players stick around for a while, as their positions in the team are not usually threatened. Futhermore, NZ selectors have a tendancy to stick with players based on their past performances - not their present form.

Exactly, we have little to choose from and if that top tier is injured or out of form, we're screwed!
