Cricket World Player Of The Week Kyle Abbott has been added to South Africa's One-Day International squad as cover for fellow fast bowler Morne Morkel.

Morkel missed the third and final Test against Pakistan with a hamstring injury but was expected to return to full fitness in time for the first ODI on 10th March in Bloemfontein.

Abbott made a stunning impact on Test debut at Centurion, taking seven for 29 in Pakistan's first innings and then a further two in the second innings as South Africa sealed an innings-and-18-run win.

In his domestic career to date, he has played 44 one-day games and taken 59 wickets.

South Africa ODI squad: AB de Villiers (captain), Kyle Abbott, Hashim Amla, Farhaan Behardien, Faf du Plessis, Colin Ingram, Rory Kleinveldt, Ryan McLaren, David Miller, Morne Morkel, Robin Peterson, Aaron Phangiso, Graeme Smith, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe
