Abhinav Mukund will lead the India 'A' side which will take on the touring England team in a one-day warm-up game on 6th January in Delhi.
Mukund, who has played five Tests, including two against England in 2011, is one of three players included who have international experience.
Experienced opener Murali Vijay has Test, One-Day International and Twenty20 International caps to his name while fast bowler Shanthakumaran Sreesanth - a veteran of 53 ODIs between 2005 and 2011 - is also in the squad.

Should he play, unproven quick bowler Ishwar Pandey would be playing in just his eighth one-day game.
The Indian board (BCCI) have also confirmed that England's second tour game, against Delhi two days later, will be a day/night game.
England and India play five One-Day Internationals between 11th and 27th January in Rajkot, Kochi, Ranchi, Mohali and Dharmashala.
