Adnan Replaces Taylor For Derbyshire Against Middlesex

Derbyshire will make on e change ahead of their LV County Championship Division Two encounter with Middlesex at Derby; Hassan Adnan coming in to the side in place of Chris Taylor, who is waiting the results of a scan on a back injury he picked up during last week's seven-wicket win over Leicestershire.

Derbyshire coach Dave Houghton took the opportunity to pay tribute to his overseas batsman and captain Simon Katich, who he believes has been integral to their fine start to the campaign.

"He's been an absolute diamond,'' Houghton told ecb.co.uk. ``He has had an impact with the bat - he has got nearly 500 runs - and as captain.

"His leadership has been fantastic - just to watch him with his field placings, you realise how good he is.

"He has been a great contributory factor to how well we've done so far and I can't speak highly enough of him.''

Derbyshire currently lie in third place in the table.
