Alex Gidman Thule Player Of The Month For June

Gloucestershire Vice-Captain Alex Gidman has been presented with the Thule Player of the Month (POTM) Award for June.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a good month throughout June - Impressively averaging 87 in championship cricket. This has included a century in both innings against Northampton at Gloucester (130 & 105 no), and two nineties against Derbyshire.

He has also continued to contribute with both bat and ball in one day cricket. With knocks of 62 in the Friends Provident Trophy game against Kent and taking 3 wickets.

Thule, the world’s largest manufacturer of car roof systems, accessories and roof boxes, sponsor Gloucestershire’s Player of the Month Award. Presenting Alex with this month’s trophy, Thule’s Marketing Manager Peter Barker commented: “Well done to Alex on his achievements this month culminating with his selection for the England Lions. I am sure it will not be long until he meets his ambition to gain a full England cap.”
