Warwickshire 187-7 (Hain 57) beat
Leicestershire 157-8 (Pillans 34 no) by 30 runs

Boyd Rankin and Aaron Thomason shared six wickets between them equally as Warwickshire restricted Leicestershire to 157 for eight in a chase of 188 runs to complete a 30 run victory in the North Group Natwest T20 Blast encounter at Grace Road.
Ed Pollock (5) and Ian Bell (7) fell early in the innings but Sam Hain (57) and William Porterfield (35) shared 57 runs for the third wicket to resurrect the innings.
Hains' 35-ball knock was ended by Mathew Pillans (2-41) but despite a brief comeback from Leicestershire, Warwickshire went on to post 187 for seven, riding on cameos from Keith Barker (23 not out) and Alex Mellor (18 not out).
Callum Parkinson (2-25) and Pillans picked two wickets each for Leicestershire.
Rankin (3-26) provided the early breakthrough when he accounted for Cameron Delport (2) early but Luke Ronchi (27) and Mark Cosgrove (22) consolidated to 44 runs in 4.1 overs.
Leicestershire suffered a slump in the middle overs as they were reduced from 59 for two to 94 for six. Tom Wells (29) and Pillans (34 not out) tried to get the late fight going but eventually fell short of the target by 31 runs.
Warwickshire now move to fifth in the table while Leicestershire are placed third.
