Glamorgan all-rounder James Allenby has signed a new two-year contract with an option to extend his contract for a further year.
The former Leicestershire player, who scored 1,432 runs and took 53 wickets in all forms of the game last season, is now committed to Glamorgan until the end of the 2012 season.
"We are delighted to have secured Jim’s services until at least the end of the 2012 season," Managing Director of Cricket Colin Metson told the club's website.
"He’s an integral part of our squad and had a hugely successful season for us last year."
Allenby, who is currently in Australia, added: "I have enjoyed my time at Glamorgan and look forward to working with Matthew Mott and Alviro Petersen. Last season was a successful one for me and I hope that 2011 will be a successful one for the team."
Allenby made a permanent switch from the Foxes at the end of the 2009 season.
