Anderson Gets Fired Up For India Tour At La Manga Club

James Anderson is aiming to be firing on all cylinders on England’s tour to India this winter after recharging his batteries during a holiday at Spain’s La Manga Club.

The Lancashire star spent time with his family relaxing and enjoying the facilities of the award-winning five-star resort ahead of leading England’s bowling attack on their four-Test series in the sub-continent.

England depart for their three-month tour of India towards the end of next month and will need Anderson at his best if they are to triumph in conditions that they have traditionally struggled in in the past.

The 30-year-old, currently ranked fifth in the world Test bowler rankings, said: “I would like to say how much I have enjoyed my stay here at La Manga Club. The facilities are great, the weather has been beautiful and I cannot wait to come back.”

Anderson has followed in the footsteps of the likes of England rugby star Nick Easter and ex-British women’s tennis number one Elena Baltacha by becoming an ambassador of the La Manga Club earlier this year.
