West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has been ruled out of the Twenty20 International series against Australia with a hamstring injury.
Prior to the opening game, which Australia won by eight wickets, Russell was diagnosed with a minor hamstring strain in his right leg.
He was carrying the injury through the One-Day International series, in which he played an important role for his side as they held Australia to a 2-2 draw.
He scored 113 runs off 111 balls in four innings and took six wickets at 26.33.
His replacement for the second Twenty20 International in Barbados is set to be named later today (28th March).
