Andy Pick has been appointed as Nottinghamshire's new bowling coach, replacing Phil Defreitas.
Pick played alongside Mick Newell, Wayne Noon and Paul Johnson during a 17-year spell with Nottinghamshire and he will combine his work at Trent Bridge with his role as head coach of England Under-19s.
“The brief is to work with Nottinghamshire’s younger bowlers and to try and develop their understanding of cricket and the technicalities of their actions,” Pick said.
“The more experienced bowlers will be self-sufficient but I’ll be on hand for them when they need me.
“I’ve worked with Mark Footitt and Luke Fletcher when they were part of the England Under-19s setup and I’m aware of Andy Carter and some of the academy bowlers in the Notts setup who I will work closely with.”
Pick also coached Canada at the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies.
