Fourth One-Day International, Colombo

Pakistan won the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo by 145 runs.

Sri Lanka were set 322 to win from their fifty overs by Pakistan after a century from youngster Umar Akmal.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, but suffered the loss of Imran Nazir early, falling to Thilan Thushara for 23. However, half centuries from Kamran Akmal and Younis Khan steadied the ship, the pair putting on 45 before Akmal was dismissed.

Sri Lanka then fought back and took two quick wickets, thse of the dangerous Mohammad Yousuf and Misbah Ul Haq. However that brought to the crease Umar Akmal who has impressed since being brought into the team in this series. The youngster smashed his way to an unbeaten 102 from just 72 deliveries that featured four sixes. His maiden century helped him put on 176 with captain Younus Khan as Pakistan posted 321 for five from their fifty overs.

Sri Lanka began well, with Upul Tharanga (80) and Kumar Sangakkara (39) scoring quickly to reach 130 for two. However, the home side lost their last seven wickets for just 18 to give Pakistan a crushing consolation win. Iftikhar Anjum was the destroyer for Pakistan as he took five for 30 to bowl out Sri Lanka and claim the win.
