South Africa v England
Scorecard
First One-Day International, Johannesburg

Heavy rain and a wet outfield at The Wanderers in Johannesburg has prevented any play in the opening One-Day International between South Africa and England.

The forecast bad weather arrived to leave large puddles on sections of the outfield and both teams have been forced to wait with the toss delayed and the next inspection will take place at 1500 GMT.

With England struggling with injuries and down to a bare 11 fit men for their final warm-up match against South Africa 'A' earlier in the week, they would most probably be the least disappointed of the two teams should the match either be reduced or abandoned altogether.

Fast bowler Liam Plunkett and James Tredwell have been added to their squad as cover for injured pair Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann while James Anderson, Paul Collingwood, Alastair Cook, Graham Onions have all spent time injured since arriving in South Africa.

The match is the first in a five-match series that moves on to Centurion Park on Sunday (22nd November).
