Are You Being Served

Expert shopkeepers have been drafted in to lend a hand during the massive clearance sale which starts in the Edgbaston Cricket Shop this Saturday at 10am. During half-term week, the Warwickshire CCC players will be doing shifts in store to advise customers on which equipment best fits their personal needs. Sale items include cricket equipment, replica shirts and Warwickshire CCC memorabilia - everything must go!

On Monday 12th, budding wicket-keepers should drop in to ask the advice of Bears’ keepers Tim Ambrose and Michael Barnes who will be on hand between 12pm – 2pm to offer guidance on gloves which all have 30% off, pads and inners all which are needed for the specialist position.

On Wednesday, Bears all-rounder Dougie Brown can assist aspiring bowlers choose a pair of bowling boots from the selection available in the sale. All footwear is priced at £20. Dougie, who moves into his fifteenth year at the Club, will no doubt be happy to pass on valuable tips on how to get the best out of your game.

On Thursday, Jim Troughton can offer his knowledge and opinions on the bat selection and help batsmen choose the best shape and weight for their specific game. Most brands are available including Woodworm, Gun & Moore, Kookaburra and Puma and all makes and models have 30% off their original price.

During the first week the shop will open in the daytime for all those on their half-term break, the following week the evening open hours will allow all those at work during the day and cricketers using the Edgbaston Cricket Centre to have browse through the products on offer.

This clearance sale will allow for the new range of Warwickshire merchandise to be launched in time for the new season which starts on Thursday 18th April with a Liverpool Victoria County Championship match against Lancashire.
