Bangladesh have recalled former captain Mohammad Ashraful to a 15-man squad for the two-Test series against Pakistan which gets underway on 9th December in Chittagong.

Ashraful, who has played 56 Tests and 169 One-Day Internationals since making his debut in 2001, was not selected for either the Test series against the West Indies or the One-Day International series against Pakistan - which Bangladesh both lost.

Raqibul Hasan, who did not do enough to impress the selectors in the Tests against the West Indies, misses out to accommodate Ashraful's latest return to the side.

As opener Imrul Kayes misses out with a groin strain, uncapped batsman Nazimuddin is poised for a Test debut while Robiul Islam also returns to the squad.

The second game begins on 17th December in Dhaka.

Bangladesh Test squad: Mushfiqur Rahim (captain), Mahmudullah (vice-captain), Tamim Iqbal, Shahriar Nafees, Mohammad Ashraful, Shakib Al Hasan, Nazimuddin, Naeem Islam, Nasir Hossain, Rubel Hossain, Nazmul Hossain, Elias Sunny, Shahadat Hossain, Suhrawadi Shuvo, Robiul Islam
