Atapattu, Davis Shortlisted For Sri Lanka Job

Marvan Atapattu and Mark Davis have been shortlisted by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) as the final two contenders to replace Graham Ford as head coach.

The board confirmed in October that it had received 11 applicants to replace Graham Ford, who will stand down in January 2014, and they interviewed fourof them.

The board confirmed that following the interviews, Atapattu and Davis will be interviewed again as the only remaining candidates.

"Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that the panel appointed by the Executive Committee of SLC has interviewed four prospective candidates comprising three Sri Lankans and a foreigner today for the Post of National Head Coach," a statement from the board read.

"Accordingly, two candidates namely Marvan Attapattu and Mark Davis have been shortlisted for the final interview to be held in due course. The date for the final interview is yet to be finalized."
