Ahead of next week's Yorkshire Bank 40 final at Lord's, Glamorgan all-rounder Jim Allenby says he is looking forward to playing a huge game at the home of cricket.
Allenby moved from Leicestershire to Glamorgan in 2009, and played his part in them getting through to the final with a half-century and two wickets against Hampshire in the semi-final.
He says that having moved counties, these are the sort of games that he would have wanted to be involved in and he adds that this one will be special given the long wait for Glamogan fans to experience a Lord's final.
Allenby tells us that the Glamorgan players have well-defined roles which has helped them this season, he goes on to talk about his own experiences of playing at Lord's and then pays tribute to Simon Jones, who will be retiring from first-class and one-day cricket following the match.
Jim Allenby was speaking ahead of the Yorkshire Bank 40 final at Lord's on Saturday 21st September. Tickets to see the 'Road to Lord's' come to its climax are available from tickets.lords.org
