As the build-up to the Caribbean Premier League 2014 gets underway, we talk to Kieron Pollard about last year's event, this year's tournament and the recent Indian Premier League.
The powerful Barbados Tridents all-rounder talks about his side reaching the semi-finals last year and how he is looking forward to this year's competition.
It all gets underway on 11th July but Pollard says that the buzz is growing already around the region, for which he adds the CPL brings so much - on and off the pitch.
He will continue to captain the Tridents, relishing the challenge and - as a Trinidadian - also the experience of playing for a Barbados side, coming up against players he is used to playing alongside.
Unwilling, given CPL's relative youth, to make comparisons with the IPL and the Big Bash, Pollard does nevertheless give us an honest assessment of the Mumbai Indians' performance in the IPL 2014.
After a poor start in the UAE, they stormed back to reach the play-off before their title defence ended at the hands of the Chennai Super Kings.
He also talks about the phenomenal catch he took against the Rajasthan Royals, when he caught the ball over his head, threw it back into play and recovered to claim the catch again.
Kieron Pollard was speaking in anticipation of the 2014 Limacol Caribbean Premier League. Kieron is set to captain the Barbados Tridents as the Biggest Party in Sport begins on 11 July in Grenada. For more info visit CPLT20.com
