Australia captain Michael Clarke has been forced to miss his side's final warm-up match ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 due to a recurrence of his lower back injury.
It is an injury that has troubled him throughout his career and after watching his team-mates take on India in Cardiff, Clarke will head to London for specialist treatment.
“Michael is still experiencing some lower back pain and as such is not fit for the warm-up game against India today," Cricket Australia (CA) physiotherapist Alex Kountouris confirmed.
"Michael will head to London tomorrow for specialist treatment and a decision on his fitness for next game will be made in due course," he added.
Clarke was sidelined for 10 weeks earlier this year with back and hamstring injuries, forcing him to miss the Indian Premier League.
