Ashish Bagai has been confirmed as Canada's captain for the upcoming 2011 World Cup, becoming the fourth man to captain his country in World Cup cricket.

Rank outsiders Canada (1000/1 to win the tournament with bet365) have named their squad, which includes John Davison and Henry Osinde, who both featured in the 2003 and 2007 competitions.

Seven players in the squad have come through Canada's youth programmes while the remaining 13 players are making their World Cup debuts.

Canada will take part in a pre-season tournament in Dubai from 26th January and they begin the World Cup, in which they have been placed in Group A, against Sri Lanka on 20th February.

They also meet Australia, Kenya, New Zealand, Pakistan and Zimbabwe.
