Bangladesh Women 152 beat
Pakistan Women 109 by 43 runs
First One-Day International, Chittagong
Bangladesh Women beat Pakistan Women by 52 runs in the first One-Day International in Chittagong.
Rumana Ahmed top scored with 44 as Bangladesh were bowled out for 152 but they hit back to dismiss Pakistan for 109.
Lata Mondal took four for 35 and Jahanara Alam three for 22.
In a low-scoring game, Nuzhat Tasnia (26) and Shaila Sharmin (22) were the only other Bangladesh players to pass 20 while Farzana Haque and Mondal scored 10 apiece.
For Pakistan, Qanita Jalil returned figures of three for 26 and Nida Dar took two for 19.
In reply, Pakistan were very quickly struggling and never recovered, slipping to 51 for six in 14.4 overs.
They rallied somewhat through Asmavia Iqbal hitting 40 in 86 balls but even her valiant effort - a new career-best score - was far too little to save them from a hefty defeat.
Both Mondal and Alam registered career-best figures.
This was Bangladesh's second ODI victory over Pakistan in the two sides' fourth meeting.
They play again in two days time.
