Batsman Jahurul Islam will make his Test debut when Bangladesh take on England in the second match in Mirpur after the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) revealed that Aftab Ahmed had been dropped.

Ahmed returned to the Test side as a replacement for Raqibul Hasan, who had announced his retirement ahead of the opening match.

Hasan has since changed his mind about retiring from the game but the BCB have suspended him from international cricket for three months, ruling him out of Bangladesh's tour of England in May and June.

"It was a serious breach of discipline on the part of a contracted player and unbecoming of an international cricketer," a BCB statement read.

"As such the Board has terminated his contract with immediate effect and he will not be considered for selection in the national team for three months effective from 19 March. However he will be allowed to participate in domestic cricket competitions."

Right-hand batsman Jahurul, who was called into the squad as a late replacement for Raqibul, has played 60 first-class matches for Rajshshi, Bangladesh A and the BCB Academy, with a highest score of 139 and an average of 36.34.

Fast bowler Shafiul Islam is also set to replace Shahadat Hossain in Bangladesh's line-up.

Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Zunaed Siddique, Jahurul Islam, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim, Naeem Islam, Abdur Razzak, Shafiul Islam, Rubel Hossain
