Bangladesh were hampered as their preparation for the one-day series against New Zealand was curtailed with the second one-day game against the Northern Knights was called off due to rain.

Bangladesh had bowled well to restrict to the Northern Knights to a score of 173 for seven with Nazmul Hossain taking impressive figures of two for 38.

Rain reduced the Bangladesh target to 201 from 41 overs, but a further, heavier, downpour prevented the Bangladesh openers from even starting their reply.

Coach Jamie Siddons commented, “We were much improved today. There was more movement and the fielding was very good. the bowlers pitched the ball up which we didn’t do in the first match.”
