The uncapped players in the squad are wicket-keeper Anamul Haque, batsman Mominul Haque, 17-year-old quick bowler Taskin Ahmed, off-spinning all-rounder Sohag Gazi, all-rounder Abul Hasan and bowler Al Amin.
Test-capped cricketers to have missed out on selection include former captain Mohammad Ashraful, spinner Suhrawadi Shuvo and opener Imrul Kayes. With Junaid Siddique and Shahriar Nafees both selected for the BCB XI, both will be looking to perform well enough to get the nod to partner Tamim Iqbal at the top of the order.
