Batsman Usman Afzaal has been released by Surrey, bringing to an end a three-year spell at the club, in which time the 33-year-old played 101 matches in all competitions.
He scored over 4000 runs and averaged 46.44 in first-class cricket while also taking 45 wickets with his left-arm orthodox spin.
Afzaal, who has previously played for Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire, played for England in three Tests in the summer of 2001 and was awarded his Surrey cap in 2009.
“I would like to thank Usman for his contribution to the Club during his time here and wish him all the best for the future," Surrey Managing Director of Cricket Gus Mackay told the club's website (www.britoval.com).
