The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited tenders for parties interested in taking over a new Indian Premier League team.

The invitation comes after Deccan Chargers were terminated as a franchise following non-payment of due fees earlier in the month.

The new franchise will be based in Ahmedabad, Cuttack, Dharamsala, Indore, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kochi, Nagpur, Noida, Rajkot, Ranchi or Vizakhapatnam.

The BCCI has set a deadline of 25th October and will then decide when the winning bid will be revealed.
