Bears Twenty20 Tickets On Sale Monday

The Twenty20 Finals Day at Edgbaston on 4th August is sold out and with the Twenty20 season approaching fast now’s the chance to get behind the Warwickshire Bears in their quest for the 2007 Twenty20 Cup.

The Bears road to Finals Day includes four exciting home fixtures against local rivals the Royals, the fiery Dragons, the Sabres and the Steelbacks.

Edgbaston will host two fantastic Friday night fixtures with the ground packed with spectators letting their hair down after a busy week at work. The famous Edgbaston atmosphere will boost the party mood and with the excitement of Twenty20 on the pitch it is the only place to be!

Edgbaston’s first ever Twenty20 Sunday fixture will be transformed into a family day at the ground with the concourse filled with amusements for everyone to enjoy.

Tuesday 26th June will be ‘crowned’ Edgbaston’s first ever Ladies Day and prior to the Bears match in the evening, the England Ladies will be taking on an Invitational XI for Twenty20 match on the main pitch. During the day, there will be guest appearances from the current Miss England and Airline’s Katrina. A beauty bus will be on site to pamper the girls, facials and manicures will be on offer which coupled with a Pimms Reception is bound to get them in the mood for the evening’s cricket. To reserve a place at this exclusive event please contact alisontooley@edgbaston.com.

2007 sees the return of the Twenty20 wristband, which guarantees your seat, so for just £55, the wearer has access to all four fixtures and admission into the ‘Greatest Ever Match’ which will take place on Friday 31st August. This match will be a celebration of the Club’s 125th Anniversary with a Bears Legends XI taking on the PCA Masters for a Twenty20 clash of cricket idols past and present.

Bears Captain, Darren Maddy, is looking forward to the Twenty20 campaign, “I know for many people it is the highlight of their summer and for the Bears we will be looking to compete and entertain the great crowds at Edgbaston. The support from the fans really lifts a team when we’re in the middle so I hopefully we can draw on that and power our way to the Finals Day!”

The Twenty20 wristband and individual tickets will be on sale online via www.edgbaston.com or by calling the Edgbaston Ticket Office on 0870 0621902 from 9.30a.m on Monday 21st May.
