Beat The Bookies - Friends Life t20 Tips

As the Friends Life t20 group stages get ever closer to their conclusion, here are the latest stats and trends that could help you beat the bookmakers and make a profit.

  • Hampshire have won their last three Friends Life Twenty20 matches at Kent, winning by six wickets with 10 balls remaining last year.
  • Essex have never lost at home to Surrey in Twenty20 cricket. Surrey’s previous eight visits have produced six defeats and two no results.
  • In the reverse fixture between Derbyshire and Durham at Queen’s Park, Chesterfield, Ben Stokes and Gordon Muchall put on the highest fifth wicket partnership (77) of the season.
  • Lancashire have been involved in the last three (and five of the last seven) ties in English Twenty 20 cricket.
  • Somerset’s 10-wicket victory over Warwickshire in last week’s reverse fixture was the largest of the FLt20 season (by balls remaining) – they reached their target of 74 in 8.3 overs.
  • Gloucestershire recorded the other 10-wicket victory of the season in the reverse fixture at Cheltenham’s College Ground. They bowled Glamorgan out for 98 and won with 43 balls.
