Fast bowler Ben Cutting has been added to Australia's One-Day International squad as cover ahead of the third and fourth matches against Sri Lanka in Brisbane and Sydney.
Cutting made his debut in the second match in Adelaide following injuries to Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Johnson but he is on hand to step in again should either fail to prove their fitness for Friday's match.
bet365 make Australia 4/9 to win the third ODI with Sri Lanka available at 7/4.
"Ben is here in Brisbane as a precaution due to Johnson and Starc coming back from injury," National Selection Panel chairman John Inverarity confirmed.
"If both pace bowlers prove their fitness to play as expected, Ben will re-join the Brisbane Heat on Friday afternoon for the Big Bash League Final," he added.
On debut in Adelaide, where Australia were beaten by eight wickets, Cutting bowled an excellent early spell and returned alter later to take the wicket of Tillakaratne Dilshan to finish with figures of one for 42.
He had earlier scored 27 in a 57-run partnership with Brad Haddin.
Australia ODI squad: Michael Clarke (captain), George Bailey, Ben Cutting, Xavier Doherty, Moises Henriques, Phillip Hughes, David Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Glenn Maxwell, Clint McKay, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, David Warner
