Bangladesh opening batsman Tamim Iqbal has been declared fit to play in the second Test against the West Indies, which begins in Khulna tomorrow (21st November). bet365 make West Indies 1/2 favourites to win the match with the draw available at 3/1 and Bangladesh 6/1 outsiders.
He suffered an elbow injury during the first Test but has been given the all-clear by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) medical team.
"Tamim felt fine while batting in the nets and we also feel he has recovered sufficiently from the muscle tendon injury to his left elbow to play tomorrow," physio Vibhav Singh said.
With Tamim an initial doubt for the match, Anamul Haque had been added to the 14-man squad as cover. He will remain with the squad.
Despite Bangladesh taking a first-inning lead, West Indies won the opening match in Mirpur by 77 runs.
Iqbal, one of Bangladesh's most successful batsmen, has scored 1,825 runs at an average of 38.02 in 25 Tests with four centuries to his name.
