AMSCAN progressed to the next stage of the Spirit Of Commerce Corporate 20/20 competition by beating Kukri 1-0 in a bowl-out after bad weather at Timperley prevented the two sides from playing a full game.
AMSCAN's Rob Kenny was the only player to hit the stumps in the bowl-out, much to the delight of his team-mates (right).
Earlier in the day, a challenge match between AMSCAN and Timperley saw Timperley prevail by two wickets in a tight finish.
Batting first, AMSCAN posted 150 with Greg Ashcroft (38), Jack Nickson (31) and Kenny (19) contributing with the bat before Timperley's C Page scored 30 to get the run chase off to a good start.
After wickets tumbled, it was left to J Fisher (20 not out) and Harrison Smythe (1 not out) to guide them to a tense victory.
Action from the challenge match can be seen in the video below, while the images below shows scorers Mary Blackburn and Heather Brown, who have been scoring for 100 years in total (possibly a world record), and then AMSCAN celebrating their victory.
