ICC Combined Associate & Affiliate XI 281 & 90-5 v
England XI 185-8 declared (Cook 76)
Tour game, Dubai, day two
The ICC Combined Associate & Affiliate XI will begin the final day of their game against the touring England side in Dubai 186 runs ahead with five second-innings wickets in hand.
After England were frustrated on the opening day as the ICC side were bowled out for 281, day two proved to be one for the bowlers after they declared on 185 for eight and then reduced their opponents to 90 for five at stumps.
Alastair Cook top scored for England with 76 but no other player could reach 20 as Hamid Hassan, Mohammad Nabi and Boyd Rankin all grabbed two wickets.
Jonathan Trott (1), Ian Bell (3) and Eoin Morgan (1) fell for single-figure scores but England declared 96 runs behind and were rewarded with early wickets in the ICC XI's second innings.
A wicket apiece from Stuart Broad and James Anderson left the ICC team at two for two and when Saqib Ali was caught by Steven Davies off Broad, they slumped to eight for three.
That became 31 for four when Craig Williams was caught by Bell off Graeme Swann for 11 and when Kyle Coetzer was bowled by Anderson for 31, they were 71 for five.
Mohammad Shahzad then hit an unbeaten 34 and Nabi was unbeaten on nine as there were no further loss of wickets before the close.
