Tour game, Colombo

James Anderson, Steven Finn and Graeme Swann all took three wickets to bowl England to an innings-and-15-run win over a Sri Lanka Board XI in Colombo.

Declaring on their overnight score of 303 for eight, England dismissed the Board XI for 119 in their second innings to ensure they did not have to bat again.

Anderson finished with three for 21, Finn three for 24 and Swann three for 33 while Monty Panesar, who took five wickets in the Board XI's first innings, returned one for 32.

The Board XI lost their first wicket without a run on the board and only four of their players could reach double figures as England completed an impressive start to their tour, which comprises two Tests.

They play another tour game beginning on 20th March before the opening Test in Galle from 26th March.

England's declaration meant Alastair Cook was unbeaten on 163 in his first innings on tour.
