Police Credit Union will sponsor the British Police Cricket Club for a third season, extending an association that was first set up in 2011. Peter Evans (CEO of Police Credit Union) said: "Our second association with Police Sport UK cricket in 2012 built on our inaugural year in 2011 and was again a great success, helping raise the profile of Police Credit Union across the UK Police family."

The combined South Wales & Gwent team secured a comfortable victory by 65 runs over defending Champions Dyfed-Powys at Derbyshire CCC on Wednesday 19th June in the National Knockout Final Sponsored by Police Credit Union. Clear blue skies and sunshine greeted both teams as they arrived at the County Ground although temperatures would remain chilly with a breeze blowing throughout the day.
British Police had a new look both in playing personnel and off the field support as the 2012 squad clocked in at their Ibis, Reading HQ. On the field there was just one last minute replacement required to the originally 16 selected players - with two new caps, Duncan Midgley the first ever representative from North Wales and last gasp inclusion Phil Gray, taking the place of fellow Met man Dan Turner.

On July 18 1973 British Police Cricket Club played its first fixture v MCC at Bramshill Police College. Further fixtures against a County XI, British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Club Cricket Conference were introduced in 1974, 75 & 76 which led to a regular Tour taking place on an Annual basis.
