New Zealand fast bowler Doug Bracewell is an injury doubt for the first Test against England which starts on Wednesday (6th March) in Dunedin.
The 22-year-old, who has taken 46 wickets in 15 Tests, reportedly cut his foot on glass while clearing up after a house party.
"He's got a cut on the inside of his right foot at the moment," a New Zealand Cricket spokesman said.
"He's walking, they don't know too much about the injury at this stage. It'll be decided tomorrow as to whether he'll play."
New Zealand, who had already added Neil Wagner to their squad ahead of the first of three Tests, have not named a replacement player.
New Zealand Test squad: Brendon McCullum (captain), Trent Boult, Doug Bracewell, Dean Brownlie, Peter Fulton, Tom Latham, Bruce Martin, Hamish Rutherford, Tim Southee, Ross Taylor, Neil Wagner, BJ Watling, Kane Williamson
