Young Cricketers Awarded Jaguar Academy Of Sport Bursaries

Talented young cricketers, Georgia Hennessy and Georgia Holmes have been awarded bursaries from the Jaguar Academy of Sport, along with a number of other promising young sports stars. They recently attended the Pestana Hotel where they were provided with their bursaries and also took part in their first Mentoring and Education Programme (MEP) sessions focusing on media training led by Kelly Holmes Education.

On Tuesday 3 July, junior grassroots cricket team Kibworth Cricket Club enjoyed an unforgettable day as they met the England cricket team, after competing with 40 cricket teams across the country to win the dream prize in the AEG grassroots competition. Kibworth Cricket Club travelled to Edgbaston Cricket Ground where they had an introduction to the world of top-class cricket with coaching tips and stories from Paul Nixon. They then had the chance to meet the players and watch them train with commentary from the cricket legend.

Guha Teaches Cricketers Of Tomorrow New Skills

At the weekend female cricket legend and Jaguar Academy of Sport Member Isa Guha taught a selection of young cricketers some new skills at a Cricket Masterclass. Among the youngsters was Jaguar Academy of Sport Rising Star, Raveena Lakhtaria as well as cricketers from the Sporting Equals programme, an independent, not-for-profit organisation which the Academy works in partnership with.
