Kenya 126-9 by five wickets
First Twenty20 International, Dubai
Scorecard

Hiral Patel top scored with 40 after Henry Osinde and Junaid Siddiqui both took three wickets to steer Canada to a five-wicket victory over Kenya in the first Twenty20 International in Dubai.

Canada needed just 18.5 overs to reach their winning score of 128 for five after a superb bowling effort had reduced Kenya to 126 for nine.

Osinde returned three for 36 and Siddiqui three for 10 as despite Rakep Patel making 48 in 35 balls, Kenya closed well short of a decent score, largely thanks to their collapse to 45 for six in the eighth over.

Jimmy Hansra (2-13) and Rizwan Cheema (1-30) were also in the wickets.

Opener Hiral Patel then led the way for Canada, hitting five fours in his run-a-ball knock of 40 and although Hiren Varaiya grabbed a brace of wickets to peg Kenya back, further contributions from Nitish Kumar (19), Ruvindu Gunasekera (18) and finally Usman Limbada (16 not out in 10 balls) helped them register their first ever Twenty20 International win over Kenya and just their fourth win of all time.
