Hampshire batsman Michael Carberry has been added to England's squad ahead of the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town as cover for Paul Collingwood.
Collingwood, who dislocated a finger during England's innings-and-98-run success in the second match in Durban and Carberry scored 100 for the England Performance Squad in a recent match that was his first since a finger injury ruled him out of the end of the county season.
Left-hander Carberry has represented the England Lions against both New Zealand A and Australia in the last two years, scoring 1,251 runs in 12 LV County Championship matches in 2009 for Hampshire with a top score of 204 and at an average of 69.50.
The third Test gets underway on 3rd January with England 1-0 up in the series.
