Chris Wright has signed a new deal with Essex that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2011 season.
Oxfordshire-born Wright, 23, told www.essexcricket.org.uk: "I am delighted to have just signed a contract extension with Essex Cricket – with an exciting 2008 season now behind us we have an exciting season in prospect.”
“We have established ourselves as one of the best One Day teams in county cricket, the challenge now is to maintain that whilst improving in the LVCC.”
Paul Grayson, Essex First XI coach :added “Chris was someone that we spotted from Middlesex, he contributed with both bat and ball in the 2008 season, a great amount of potential exists with Chris both for this season and beyond. Chris has had a good winter in Perth and has come back fitter and stronger and as a result. Chris is eagerly awaiting the start of the season like the rest of the players."
