Mumbai Indians v Otago Volts - match abandoned
Champions League Twenty20 Group A, Ahmedabad

The bad weather in Ahmedabad accounted for the second Champions League Twenty20 Group A game of the day as Mumbai Indians and Otago Volts left disappointed.

Unlike the earlier game between Highveld Lions and Perth Scorchers, this one was called off before the two sides had named their line-ups and no toss took place.

With the rain that had caused the first game to be called off having left the ground sodden and full of puddles, there was no choice but to make an early decision on the second game.

All four teams scheduled to be in action today take two points, which leaves Rajasthan Royals ahead of them all on four points after beating Mumbai in the opening game of the tournament.

Mumbai are next in action when they play the Lions on Friday (27th September) with the Volts in action two days earlier as they meet Perth Scorchers.

Group A Standings: Rajasthan Royals 4 points, Lions, Mumbai Indians, Otago Volts, Perth Scorchers 2 points

Group B Standings: Trinidad & Tobago, Chennai Super Kings 4 points, Titans, Brisbane Heat 0 points
