Clubs Line Up For In Form Opener Stephen Moore

Due to the fact that he is in the last year of his contract, Worcestershire opener Stephen Moore has attracted the attention of numerous counties due to his outstanding 2008 form.

Last week Moore became the first player in the country to score 1000 first-class runs this season, and has scored more runs than either Bopara or Shah or indeed any England batsman but has yet to receive any international recognition.

Moore has met with Somerset, Surrey, Sussex, Middlesex this week and has declined formal approaches from Northants, Essex, Glamorgan and Derby. Three other top division counties have also made approaches for the South African-born 27-year-old.
